Saturday, May 18th from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at Ryan Honda of Minot as we celebrate local first responders. Free donuts, coffee, and orange juice while you get up close to local fire trucks, ambulances, bomb & SWAT trucks. See live police K9 demonstrations and watch Minot Rural Fire Department race Honda employees to put their gear on! This year we will also be adding Operation Mugs & Hugs! Operation Mugs & Hugs is a process done by professionals to help promote the safety of children in the Minot community.

Join Minot Parks in commemorating Arbor Day - Saturday, May 18th from 9:00am to 12:00pm Participate in a tree-planting initiative alongside the Forestry department. Plus take the opportunity to receive a seedling to plant at home (while supplies last). Engage with our Horticulturist crew as they talk about the advantages of butterfly and perennial gardens, starting at 9:30 am. Additionally, gain insights from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture regarding the management of invasive insect species. KC Council 9906 will be hosting a Sunday breakfast May 19th at St. Leos Catholic Church in Minot. Serving fresh baked Carmel rolls, pancakes, sausage, and scrambled eggs. Free will offering accepted. Serving from 8;30am to 12:30pm - proceeds to benefit vocations in trainign.

When it comes to our military families, the Minot Public School Foundation and iHeart Media Minot wants to help our local school age children ease the transition of their military mom or dad who may be gone on assignment, and with your help we can make that happen with a pillow like doll of their parent to hug, hold and to be there when their mom or dad can't be. To help with our "Hug A Hero" campaign visit the Minot public School Foundation at Two Fifteen Second Street to make a donation and to find out how you can help.

The Minot Lions Club annual "Dining In The Dark" is Friday, May 17th @5:30 at Minot State University. Dakota Pro Musica presents a special Mother's Day weekend concert to celebrate some of the "Favorite Things" mothers love. The concert will feature the funny and enjoyable "Coffee Cantata" of J.S. Bach, songs about children, flowers, beautiful things, loving ourselves and others! The concert will be varied, enjoyable, and beautiful! this concert will be Saturday, May 11th at 5pm First Lutheran Church in Minot.

Beginning May 13th, Minot Central Dispatch will begin running regularly scheduled audible tests for the Minot Area Outdoor Warning System as well as the Sirens within Ward County. These tests will be run on the second and last Monday of each month at 9:30 AM. The audible tests will continue through the summer months and are scheduled to conclude in October.

Join Minot parks and their park guide as they take you on a stroll on one of Minot's Trails. On each walk, we will highlight the different flora, fauna, and natural landscapes unique to each trail.
